Mr. Umekage received his B.S. (1998) and M.S. (2000) in Electrical Engineering from Kyoto University. Following his graduation, he worked for Sharp Corporation as an electrical engineer (2000-2005) and for Japan Patent Office as Examiner (2005-2010). He qualified as a patent attorney and joined SOEI in 2010. He is a member of the Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA).
