Priority Document Electronic Exchange between the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the Japan Patent Office
The priority document electronic exchange between the USPTO and the JPO has started on July 2007.
The exchange can be applied to the Japanese application which meets either of the following requirements:
i) the priority application in USPTO has already published in the USPTO.
ii) “Authorization to Permit Electronic Access to Application(s)”(Form PTO/SB/39) of the priority application has already been submitted to the USPTO.
