A White World

This photograph was taken from the Kintetsu Railway between Kyoto and Ise. It’s white everywhere!
The area is surrounded by mountains, so it probably has a lot of snow every year, but I was still quite surprised. It seems it snowed very heavily the day before yesterday, as well.
I went to the Ise region to visit our client’s factory and have a meeting about their patent. Whenever I see a client’s factory, I always feel very impressed with their technology. At the same time, it gives me a deep understanding of their products which helps greatly with our work.
SOEI places importance on a hands-on approach, so visiting a factory is just the right opportunity to implement that.
When my client and I were waiting to catch the train back to Kyoto, we went into a bar where they play reggae and serve Jamaican food. I don’t usually get to go to a reggae bar, but thanks to the wait time for the train, I was lucky. It must have been some kind of fate…
