First Kyoto Marathon

Kyoto City is inviting public opinion on the course plan of its marathon which will be held in March, 2012.
A course running through the city may cause traffic jams but the participants might find it fun to run places that they normally wouldn’t be able to.
It seems Karasuma Oike, where our Kyoto Office is situated, is not included the course.
The current plan starts at Nishikyogoku Athletic Park, passes through Togetsu-kyo Bridge in Arashiyama, Ninna-ji, Kinkaku-ji, Ginkaku-ji Temples and ends in front of Heian Jingu Shrine.
It must be quite pleasant to run along the Kamo River.
Maybe I should join in and run with a pair of tights on.
