My Webcam ↓
I bought this Web camera at an electronics retail store at around 4,000 yen when moving to Kyoto. It has a built-in microphone and all I need to do is plug it into my laptop’s USB port.
It’s the first time I’ve lived in the Kansai area, so I have fun finding out new things every day. (Like finding out that they say ‘maido’ (‘thank you’ in the Kansai dialect) in the train station announcements as well, etc.) But I do feel a bit lonely sometimes that I can’t see my family or friends who live in the Kanto area. And that’s when this Webcam becomes handy! We can talk as if over a video phone but for free.
It makes me feel so much better when I can actually see their faces. I think being able to see each other’s faces can also be very important at work, too.
