Kyoto is surrounded by mountains.
The buildings of this city are generally low, so if you’re just a little high up you can see quite far out.
From our Kyoto Office, if you look out from the window you can see the green of the mountains.
It’s a little thing, but it’s relaxing and I like it very much.
In the hope of improving my eyesight a little, which has been declining sharply since I started working, I try to look out of the window about every 30 minutes.
I remember from the Ginza Office in Tokyo, you could see the windows of a taxi company in the building across the street. It seemed there was a bathroom for the night shift drivers and sometimes you could see the shadow of a man through the frosted glass…it used to make me feel a bit sad on days like that.
