Fall is the best season for XXX ?

October has come, and the weather in Tokyo has become cooler,
so we are feeling the coming of Fall.
In Japan, Fall is the special season in a sense.
Because there are many phrases that refer to Fall.
All of the following express "Fall is the best season for XXX."
Fall of appetite (Syokuyoku no aki)
Fall of sports (Sports no aki)
Fall of reading books (Dokusyo no aki)
(Aki in Japanese means Fall)
Then, why do the Japanese have such phrases?
One of the reasons is that comfortable weather in fall makes people
spend their time on hobbies, and try something new.
Fall for me is "Syokuyoku(appetite) no aki."
Especially, saury fish, pears, persimmons, and mushrooms
are so delicious in Fall.
However, even though these food taste so good,
eating too much will get me...
Then, I must work out to prevent it,
and Fall for me should be "Sports no aki."
